Our 2023 Events!
Welcome to DeVries Fine Art International,Inc.
Andrew has assembled an exciting schedule of events here at DeVries Fine Art International that includes both his artistic and culinary skills.
This year our season begins on May 19th. Our business hours are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 4pm. For those of you who would like to explore the gallery and Sculpture Trail at a different time please call us a couple days in advance at (413)-238-7755 to schedule your visit.
This year will be a total of four Open Studio events that feature a bronze casting demonstration. Each takes place on a Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. May 27th, June 17th, September 2nd and October 7th. After the pour Andrew will explain the intricate lost wax process he uses to create his exquisite sculptures. Afterward there will be a guided tour by the artist of the Sculpture Trail through the meadow and shady groves. You'll see over 40 works! The tour finishes in our gallery with the unveiling of a newly completed sculpture.
There are two new events for this season that feature an early morning walk on our Sculpture Trail guided by Andrew and Patricia. These take place on Saturday, July 8th and Saturday, August 12th starting at 9:30 a.m. Following our sojourn of art and nature, attendees will gather in the gallery for a scrumptious country brunch.
All events will be limited to twelve guests. Please reserve your space early by emailing andrew@andrewdevries.com or by calling the studio. Availability is on a first come first serve basis. Events do fill up rapidly so don’t delay. If you are unable to keep your reservation, please let us know well in advance so that others have the opportunity to enjoy these unique experiences.
Also be aware that the gallery and Sculpture Trail will be closed for 3 weeks starting September 11th through September 28th to give Patricia and Andrew a much deserved R&R.
Note: Please wear proper walking shoes if you decide to walk the trail and dress according to the weather. The Sculpture Trail in not handicap accessible however the Barn Studio gallery is. There is both hand sanitizer and bug spray available. There is a thoroughly clean porta potty for visitors during our season.

Join us! for our first Open Studio event of the year on Memorial Day weekend. You’ll witness an exciting bronze casting, weather permitting at 1:30. (In the advent of rain a short video of a bronze pour will be shown inside the studio.) Afterwards Andrew explains the intricacies of the lost wax process needed to make his exquisite sculptures.
Afterwards, he leads a tour along the Sculpture Trail where you’ll discover forty works displayed in the meadow and wooded groves. Please wear proper walking shoes if you decide to walk the trail and dress according to the weather.
Open Studio finishes at the spacious Barn Studio gallery and culminates with the unveiling of Andrew’s latest creation! The Barn Studio gallery is also where you will find indoor works, both paintings and sculptures that are available for purchase. During this time of covid-19 masks must be worn inside.

This is our second Open Studio of the year and your opportunity to witness a bronze casting at River Studios.
Come experience the thrill of a bronze casting here at River Studios. A lively talk follows the casting with Andrew explaining the many intricate steps of the ancient process of lost wax casting. A question and answer period follows the talk. (In the advent of rain a short video of a bronze pour will be shown inside the studio.) You'll also be invited into the modelling studio to get a glimpse of new works in progress!
Following this, Andrew leads the tour along the Sculpture Trail where you’ll discover works displayed in the meadow and colorful wooded groves. Please wear proper walking shoes if you decide to walk the trail and dress according to the weather.
Open Studio finishes at the spacious Barn Studio gallery and culminates with the unveiling of Andrew’s latest creation! In the gallery you'll see finished indoor bronze sculptures and his vibrant pastel paintings all available for sale.

This is our Labor day Weekend edition of Open Studio. It has always been one of the most popular times so please reserve your space early. Open Studio events are limited to only 12 people this year!
Andrew will conduct a bronze “pour,” considered the most exciting moment in the casting process at 1:30 p.m. (weather permitting). At a temperature of 2100 degrees Fahrenheit, this molten metal will be cast into its final shape and you will be witness to the birth of a new sculpture!
Following this, Andrew leads the tour along the Sculpture Trail where you’ll discover forty works displayed in the meadow and wooded groves. Please wear proper walking shoes if you decide to walk the trail and dress according to the weather.
