Description
Within is a dynamic bronze male dance sculpture created in 1989. The figure stretches out in all directions as he stands upon his muscular leg on ¾ pointe. His eyes are closed as he reaches deep within to achieve this movement. The sculpture was cast and finished by Andrew at his studios and foundry. There is only one available for purchase, it is the 13th of the 15 in the edition and it is mounted on a black marble base.
These are Andrew’s thoughts on the sculpture: “Where does any human gather such power to achieve such beauty and strength? The answer can only be found inside us. Within the body that has been trained through years of classes and performances. Within the spirit that makes us as artists to push beyond our perceived boundaries.”
The last casting available here at our gallery is number 13 in the edition of 15. The molds for this sculpture have been destroyed.
