The ceramic shell molds used for castings takes several coats of dipping into slurry and then stucco. Each coat must thoroughly dry inside and out before the next coat. There are many important steps in casting a bronze but wax chasing is one of the most important. This wax is the upper torso of the Faerie Dance sculpture. Recapturing the details of the costume took 6 hours. What you have in the wax you will have in the bronze.
