The influence of nature is found in Andrew’s dramatic sculpture entitled The Vine, a work that a dear friend and art collector excitedly exclaimed as a work completely unique from your other figurative bronze sculptures.
Andrew’s love of motion is found in the sweeping spiraling bronze vines. Your eye follows the undulating shape of the sculpture that ends in a flowering of two blossoms. Male and female torsos emerge with arms reaching toward one another, their hands about to touch in a grasp. The sculpture portrays a magnetic sense of longing, a destiny about to be fulfilled.
The Vine measures 28”h x 30”w x 12’d and is supported by a black granite base beneath one point on the vine that adds a sense of levitation.
