The most recent sculpture to arrive from Andrew’s studio is an intriguing bronze wall relief titled Perky. Encased in a bronze frame, this playful work features a reclining female figure who emerges from a flat picture plane into the viewer’s space. Her beguiling smile and expressive eyes create an alluring sense of connection, as if she is knowingly returning the onlloker’s gaze.
The work measures 17 inches width by 10 inches height and weighs only 16 pounds, a modest size that can be hung in many different places, yet large enough to make an appealing statement wherever it is placed. It will be cast in an edition of 12. The first is now finished and hanging in our gallery.
